Painted and Distressed Finishing

DISTRESSING LEVELS
Light
Random edges lightly sanded and light surface scuffing.
Medium
Edges sanded and random surface areas sanded down to show wood grain.
Heavy
Most or all edges sanded, more random surface areas sanded down to wood and surface distressed with various methods. (rocks, chains, blunt and sharp objects etc.)

We were able to make repairs to this “bargain” piece and give it a lightly distressed cream “antiqued” finish.
This dresser was a family piece and was therefore very sentimental to the customer. However, the customer envisioned a painted and distressed look. We were able use a black satin finish to achieve the look she requested.

Another option can include an “under tone” process where the piece is painted the color of your room, then sprayed with an overcoat, distressed and finished with a glaze.
If you can imagine… We can create…
